The comparison of different LED tube material

 LED tube mask material are divided into three type :PC mask,Glass and Nano ,then whats the different from them?
  
1. PC
  Most tube light with full plastic or only PC mask materials are PC.PC is widely used based on its following excellent features:
 A. High light transmission.
  According to the test of our products about the tube transmittance(add diffusion powder), most are between 86% to 90% and 88% will be more,if only discuss about light transmittance of the material itself, PMMA is not lower than PC, even is higher than 2%, but why its widely used on the tube?It depends on the comparison below.

 B. Heat-Resistant and Fire-Proof.
  The softening point of PC is 120℃ to135℃,but 80℃-105℃ for PMMA.Also the thermal expansion coefficient of PC is lower than PMMA.As we know there are two heat source in LED light: one is driver and another is led.So the parts which closed to the strips on the back side will withstand high temperature(We tested the temperature here will basically between 45 ℃ to 60 ℃, the operating environment temperature is higher, the higher the temperature here).Although tube won’t be softening under such temperature,but this will cause a very serious problem to the tube which under Poor workmanship or bad material --deformation.
   The Fire-resistance rating is high for the PC material,it will be at least V1 grade.Also as  built-in power supply ,PC is the high-efficiency flame resistant material in case of fire .

 C. Excellent toughness
    The tensile resistance is most important for a slender tube,in other word ,tube wont be easy to be broken as its high Bearing quality.But its bad for PMMA, toughness is not good and its not suitable for tubes.

2. Glass tube
   Most factory are producing glass tube as its only advantage is cheap price and low production cost,but in another side ,Low light transmittance ,fragile and dusting are  not environmental protection.

3. Nano tube
 Its most popular in the market ,in fact it is modified PC material, but it has its own characteristics;
 A. Strength of materials( flexural modulus) is double of ordinary PC material,its mean nano material wont be easy to bend compare with ordinary PC,also can make the wall thickness is thinner, lighter in weight.
 B. The expansion coefficient of nano PC material is about a third of ordinary PC ,then nano tube wont be easy to bend.
 C. Observe the nano tube will find the surface is rough,it can form Diffuse reflection and  uniformity of  light output compare with ordinary tube.This is evident on the smaller tube,such as T5,Another advantage of this feature is that can improve the light transmittance of tube.also the test result is between 90%-93%.
 D. Nano tube have memory function, it can be restored the original state when cooling down even micro thermal deformation.
 E. Anti-UV ,Our nano tube is more resistant to UV than normal PC,it wont became yellow and aging after long term using.
